Watercolor Practice
I tried watercolor practice last two days and I am happy with the one I did today as it came out lot better than my very first one. Although I did notice some very funny and unusual things in my practice.
In the first one, I used my traditional watercolor tubes on Artios 100% cotton handmade rough cold pressed watercolor paper. Did this on a slightly tilted drawing board which explains the one directional watercolor blooms.
The second one was what really turned out to be rather funny and unusual behavior of this so called watercolor paper which claims to be 300 gsm and it's handmade rough one. It just mentions that it's made with cotton fibers for high absorption but doesn't mention what the paper is made up of. Plus, I did the traditional watercolor painting practice on this one and you all can see how this paper really behaved unlike other watercolor papers too.
Last two were done on 225 gsm 100% cotton cold pressed paper and it actually held the watercolors in a much better manner too. The fourth one was kind of practice plus unwinding myself so I actually did some kind of layering with my watercolors in that.
Would really like your opinion and feedback on it and also any tips and suggestions are very much welcome too 🙂 This is my very first time using watercolors so would highly appreciate any kind of feedback, tips and advice for the same too 😊
