Islamic Social and Emotional Learning (ISEL) provides a faith centred framework for nurturing the emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing of Muslim learners. It is designed to support schools in cultivating calm, compassionate, and reflective learning environments that are aligned with Islamic pedagogy and the preservation of fitrah.
ISEL offers a coherent approach that integrates wellbeing, behaviour, and character development without fragmenting a child’s emotional growth from their spiritual identity.
It is applied across:
• Classroom teaching and learning
• Wellbeing and pastoral care practices
• Behaviour and relationship guidance
• Teacher professional development and certification
• Leadership practice and school culture
ISEL is designed to complement and strengthen existing school systems by aligning them with fitrah protective practice and Allah conscious leadership.
