The "eBay" Room
Here is a look at what I affectionately call the "eBay room" where I work my business. I could have tidied up but I figured this is the real me, this is how I work, so here it is! The room is always a work in progress... in fact I did take some time today to rearrange some merchandise so that is easier to access.

What's the One Flip You're Most Proud Of?
Let's have a little fun! I'd love to see your Favorite Flip of the Year (so far). It doesn't have to be your most profitable item. Maybe it sold quickly, maybe it was a great thrift find, maybe you were proud of the photos, or maybe it just has a fun story behind it. Share: • A photo of the item • What you paid (optional) • What it sold for (optional) • Why it was your favorite flip I'll go first in the comments. Looking forward to seeing everyone's favorites!
BOLO Monday: The Brand Everyone Walks Right Past
This week's BOLO is J.Crew denim. I know what some of you are thinking. J.Crew isn't exactly a brand that gets resellers excited. It's been around forever, and there is usually plenty of it on the racks. That's exactly why I wanted to mention it. When everyone is looking for the same handful of trendy brands, sometimes the better opportunity is hiding in plain sight. I still pick up J.Crew denim when I find the right styles, especially if the condition is excellent. What catches my eye? Modern straight-leg styles, wide-leg jeans, trouser denim, dark washes, and anything that still has a readable style number on the tag. One thing I always do before listing is search the style number. Many times I can find the original product name, stock photos, and better keywords for my listing. It only takes a few minutes and can make a big difference. As always, condition matters. I'm passing on excessive wear, stretched-out waistbands, and styles that look dated. I live in the "DMV"...Delaware, Maryland and Virginia area, so our thrift prices are higher than I'd like. I go to Goodwill on Senior day and get 30% off my purchases, so on that day I'll look for J. Crew denim. Sometimes I can find lots of J Crew as well online, usually 20 or 40 pieces. Most of the pairs I find cost me between $8 and $14. Depending on the style and condition, resale prices can range from about $25 to $50 or more. Will every pair be a winner? Nope. But if I can turn a $8 thrift store find into a $40 sale, that's a brand I'm willing to take a second look at. Jeans are easy to photograph, measure and list. I'd love to hear from the group. What is a brand you're finding lately that other resellers seem to be overlooking?

Flip Tip Friday
Flip Tip Friday: Stop Looking at Just The Profit Per Item One of the biggest mistakes I see resellers make is evaluating inventory based only on the profit from a single sale. Instead, start thinking about Return on Investment (ROI) and sell-through rate. Here's a simple example: - Item A costs $5 and sells for $25. - Item B costs $20 and sells for $50. At first glance, Item B looks better because it makes more dollars. But let's look closer: Item A - Cost: $5 - Profit: $20 - ROI: 400% - Item B - Cost: $20 - Profit: $30 - ROI: 150% If you had $100 to spend on inventory, you could buy 20 of Item A or only 5 of Item B. Now add sell-through rate to the equation. ~If Item A sells within 30 days and Item B takes 6 months to sell, which inventory would you rather keep reinvesting in? Successful resellers don't just chase the highest profit. They chase the best combination of: • ROI • Sell-through rate • Consistent demand • Low storage time This is why some sellers make more money flipping "boring" items than chasing trendy brands. Your Flip Tip Friday Challenge: Look at your last 10 sales and ask yourself: 1. Which item produced the highest ROI? 2. Which item sold the fastest? 3. Are those the same item? You might discover that your most profitable category isn't the one you thought it was. What category is giving you the best ROI right now?
