Introduction
Hi, I’m David but my friends also call me “Genie”. I’m 27 years old, born and raised in New York, with 100% Colombian roots. My first experience with remote work began in late 2021 when I took on a remote IT position from Cali, Colombia where I ended up living for two years (highly recommend it!). While living remotely is when I started to follow Austin’s content which was awesome and inspiring!
I eventually returned to New York to finish school and gain more hands-on experience. Now, after nearly two years as a Network Engineer and wrapping up my degree, I’m ready to go back the goal is to move back to Colombia, but this time I would like to plan a road trip across the entire country not just the cities, but from the mountain peaks to the sandy beaches, and even deep into the Amazon. I want to experience everything Colombia has to offer, not just one corner of it.
