Megumi “Meg” Abiko began her practice in 1999. She has studied several Reiki lineages and chose to focus on Reiki Ryoho and Reiki Jin Kei Do. An investigator by nature, Meg has spent decades exploring traditional Reiki alongside a variety of holistic practices. Her philosophy: Explore. Discover. Choose. Be curious, broaden your horizons, and discover what resonates with you.
Why the name change? Subeteni Kiku means “embracing the whole person,” reflecting Meg’s approach. After the passing of her beloved Reiki Master, Gilbert Gallego, her family placed unopened white chrysanthemums at their shrine. As the flowers blossomed, they became a reminder that a teacher’s wisdom, compassion, and love continue to unfold in those they touched.
The chrysanthemum is now the heart of Subeteni Kiku Reiki—honoring those before us while continuing to explore and carry their teachings forward.
