My name is Crystal Burns. I'm a communications consultant, a mom, and for the past year — a football recruiting parent. Watching Jordan pursue this dream has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. It has also been one of the most overwhelming. The thing nobody told me going in? How fast it moves. I spent the first few months just trying to understand the language, offers, official visits, film, camps, rankings. I was learning in real time while trying to show up for Jordan in the right way.
That experience is exactly why I built The Recruiting Parents Collective. Not to tell you how to get your kid recruited — every journey is different and I'd never pretend otherwise. But to create a space where parents can be honest about what this process actually feels like, ask the questions they're afraid to ask, and support each other through every stage of it.
