Retained Search - What to charge?
I've watched a couple Recruitemy videos where it's been mentioned charging 1/3 on Day 1 to begin the candidate search, 2/3 when candidates are presented, and the final 3rd when the new hire starts their job. My question is, before you begin your search you won't know the salary so how do you calculate the 1/3 of the 25% of X? Do you base it on expected salary and then use the final 3rd payment to balance out the actual total cost? What are the approaches folks are taking? Thanks in advance for any insight :)
