Thunderstorms & Torrential Rain 🌧️
We've had plenty of rain today coupled with humid weather, resulting in thunderstorms on & off.
I was due to have a group outdoors today and I had made a big effort on planning the contingency should they refuse!
Turns out, they loved being out in the rain!
We got all the learning done and had fun too!
Were we soaked? Yes - to the bone
Did some of our resources get wet? Yes
Were the kids engaged - yes!
Thoroughly surprised at their resilience and acceptance of the weather today.
It's been a learning moment for me, realising I shouldn't judge beforehand. It's okay to plan contingency - that's the sign of a confident decision but also be prepared that the alternative may suprise you!
