New Here? Introduce Yourself 💜🩵
What do you do with what you notice?
You've spent weeks noticing. The resentment. The longing. The “should.” The pattern. The little voice saying, “I don't think I want this anymore.” But here's the thing nobody tells us about Awareness: Seeing yourself clearly can be uncomfortable as hell. And when it gets uncomfortable, we have choices. We can judge ourselves. We can explain ourselves. We can fix ourselves. We can shove the whole thing back into the basement. Or… we can stay. This is where Self-Compassion begins. Not with a scented candle and a permission slip to avoid accountability. 😂 With the willingness to remain emotionally present with yourself when what you see isn't particularly convenient. What do you tend to do when Awareness shows you something uncomfortable?
What do you do with what you notice?
You Don't Have to Earn Your Life
What if you don't have to earn the right to want what you want? We can spend years believing desire needs to be justified. It's practical. It's useful. It's good for everyone. It makes sense. I've earned it. I'm allowed. OMG how many times I have said these exact words!! 🥴 But sometimes you want something simply because you want it. Awareness lets us notice desire without putting it through the approval committee. What do I want that I keep trying to justify? What happens if, just for today, you let yourself want it without building a case? Drop your desires here and put them out to the universe! 🌟
You Don't Have to Earn Your Life
Curiosity - not Surveillance
Awareness without compassion can become surveillance. You start watching yourself constantly: Was that the right response? Why did I say that? Why am I still bothered? Nope. That's just self-improvement wearing a different hat. Awareness needs room. Room to notice that you're human. Room to have mixed feelings. Room to change your mind. Room to not know. Self-Compassion is one of the Ways of Returning for a reason. We don't come home to ourselves by becoming better at criticizing ourselves. 🩵💜
Awareness is a Doorway
Awareness is not the destination. It's the doorway. When I notice what is true, I create room for something else: compassion, trust, an authentic voice, an aligned choice, and eventually a life that feels more congruent. Those are the other Ways of Returning. Not steps you have to complete. Not levels to unlock. Ways to return. Which of the other Ways feels like it might be calling your name right now?
