Numbers 2-3 - the arrangement of the camps
A number of us are reading the Bible in 365 and we’re in the book of Numbers (join the plan here - Would you read the Bible Plan, The Bible with Nicky and Pippa Gumbel, Classic Version, 2025, with me?)
One interesting thing I’ve read before about the way the camps were situated (I’ve seen it other ways too) is that they actually formed the shape of a cross around the tabernacle being at the center. Obviously the center is where Jesus was placed and the tabernacle is the presence of god. Foreshadowing the Lord on the cross with the arrangement of the camp thousands of years earlier, the Bible is so cool!
