Quotes of the Day 42: Follow Dreams
Quote 1: “It is not the broken dreams that break us. It’s the ones we don’t dare to dream.” - Will Schuester, Glee
Quote 2: “Build your own dreams, or someone will hire you to build theirs” - Farrah Gray
Glee is an American comedy/drama TV show which aired from May 19th, 2009, to March 20th, 2015. The TV show centers on a 12 person main cast who make up William McKinley High School’s Glee club; this 12 person cast is later expanded up to 15 members in later seasons. The cast follows Spanish teacher and Glee club coach Will Schuester, cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury, Will’s wife Terri Schuester, and the eight main students of the glee club: Quinn Fabray, Kurt Hummel, Artie Abrams, Rachel Berry, Finn Hudson, Mercedes Jones, Noah Puckerman, Tina Cohen-Chang, Santana Lopez, Mike Chang, and Brittany Pierce. This colorful cast helps make the show the way it is with incredible diversity from each individual’s personality and goals. The show focuses on following its main cast as they compete in choir show competition and their challenges to learn how to deal with social issues, which include sexuality, race, family, teen relationships and teamwork.
Glee’s quote explains that the dreams which break us are the ones which we do not dream. The dreams and hopes which we lose are not the ones which hurt us the most. The ones which hurt the most are the ones which we don’t even attempt to achieve. Giving up ok and abandoning our goals is the worst thing to happen to a dream of ours. Don’t give up on your dreams just like the cast of the Glee Club did which led them to their success.
Farrah Gray was born September 9, 1984. Farrah Gray is a businessman, investor, author, and motivational speaker. Farrah Gray was raised on the south side of Chicago as the son of black nationalist leader Khalid Abdul Muhammad. Khalid Abdu Muhammad was a prominent member of the Nation of Islam and later the New Black Panther Party. Farrah Gray’s original name was Farrakhan Khalid Muhammad. Gray began his business and entrepreneurial career at age six when he sold homemade lotion and hand-painted rocks. Gray became a millionaire by the age of 14 (which is insane) on his own. By age 21, Gray became Dr. Farrah Gray thanks to an honorary doctorate from Allen University and he was recognized as an entrepreneurial icon, business mogul and best-selling author. Gray reached insane successes by the age of 22 which most people only reach by the end of their lives.
Farrah Gray’s quote explains that we need to take every chance we can get to follow our dream. He explains that if we aren’t careful, we may spend our lives building others’ dreams without being able to make our own. We should make sure that we spend our lives well as we don’t want to reflect on dreams lost or cast aside because we were fulfilling others’ dreams.
I hope you enjoyed today’s quotes on following your dreams. Have a great day everyone!
