Hey guys, so I am a rising Freshman and I'm going to be taking some pretty difficult classes. For background, my school provides a very selective double accelerated STEM program (class size of about 25/400 ish) and since I am in it, I take classes that are 2 grade levels above me. Meaning the core classes that I am taking are Algebra 2H, AP Physics 1, AP HuG, Pre-AP World History (It is split into 2 years), and AP Comp Sci (Those are the main ones). I have a couple questions for some of these classes that I wish you guys can answer!
- How hard is AP Physics 1, and how can I ensure that throughout the year that I maintain extremely high grades (95+) and ensure a 5 on the AP exam. This is the one class I am actually concerned about due to my older friends telling me stories on how hard the class is (as a freshman) and that the teacher can also suck too.
- I've read that AP Comp Sci is an easy class to take as a freshman, is that true? People have said that they have gotten consistent 100s across the year and an easy 5 on the AP exam.
- According to my older friends AND my previous math teacher, the Algebra 2H teacher absolutely sucks (at teaching and in general). How can I deal with that and still maintain 95+?
- Should I prepare for AP Physics 1 during the summer/now?
- For which of these classes should I be taking genuine notes? I have never taken notes before as my previous classes have been easier for me. Or should I even take notes?
- What are some study tips you recommend for these classes? I have never geniunely studied as most tests were easy for me because I easily remembered the information.
- When should I start AP prep? (no ap test for Pre-AP World)
That's my list of questions! If you answered them then I would be extremely grateful! Thank you!!!!
