Back in December I bought a MacBook, RX3, speakers, headphones, Rekordbox, and a DJ pool membership with zero experience. I just knew I loved house music and wanted to learn. Then I found Quiet Hours in January. I’d already been a fan of Leondis for a while, and this community has been insanely welcoming regardless of skill level. Huge shoutout to Alex for taking me under his wing and teaching me how to mix, build sets, and gain confidence behind the decks. Tonight I recorded my first 1-hour set on my phone just to see where I’m starting from…and honestly I’m pretty pumped about the progress for only being about 2 months in. Next goals: doing an Instagram Live set soon and playing a little after-party at SXM Festival next weekend. Long road ahead, but we all start somewhere. Just wanted to say thanks to Alex and everyone here for the support and advice 🙏

Although my goal is push the Rico sound and productions, this is something I always wanted to dabble in as an additional income. As you guys may know, I drive myself crazy trying to learn, and perfect mixing and mastering. A peer of mine is trusting me and paying to mentor/master his song! Im gonna give it my best shot, and hopefully do more work for him in the future. I'll keep you guys updated on the process and what I learned from working on somebody else's project😃
