About this place
Life is a game.
Not "like a game." Not "useful to think of as a game." A game. With rules, players, stakes, positions, moves. Some players know they're playing. Most don't. Some games run for an afternoon. Some run for centuries.
I quit a stable job to think about this full-time. The YouTube channel is the part most people see — long videos on power, class, hegemony, decline. What they all have in common is the lens.
American hegemony is a game. So is class. So is the rise of China. So is your career, your marriage, your relationship to your own ambition.
This is the place where I do the version of that thinking that doesn't fit on YouTube. The frames I'm developing. The analysis too dense for video. The questions I'm still circling — about specific games and about the meta-game of how games work.
One written piece a week. A space to talk. I'll be in it.
For people who already see it this way and want better language for what they're seeing.
