Happy Wednesday!
This morning's prayer call was about focus and the wind (aka distraction) that pulls your attention away from God.
Matthew 14:22-33 recounts Jesus' walk on water and features Peter as the only other person in recorded history that did the same. Ultimately, Peter didn't sink because of the water. He sank because he shifted his focus.
Likewise, entrepreneurs rarely fail because they lack talent. They often struggle because their attention gets scattered. Eventually they give up because of fear, overwhelm, or discouragement. Distraction might look like:
- Constantly changing business ideas
- Chasing every new strategy
- Comparing yourself to others online
- Consuming content instead of implementing
- Looking for the next course instead of finishing the current assignment
- Building instead of selling
- Perfecting a logo instead of talking to prospects
- Creating more content when no offers have been made
- Focusing on followers instead of relationships
- Spending hours on technology instead of client conversations
