I'm writing from central southern Mexico at the moment. I'm originally from AZ, but I've been down here for a little over a decade. I've seen many great business opportunities since I've been here. I feel like it might just be easier to get something small going here than in the US (Less investment needed). I'm currently trying to navigate through import permissions/ licenses. Hello everyone :) I had the pleasure of meeting Will at a startup event in Switzerland – and among all the pitches and founders, he was like a ray of sunshine in the shadows. While many startups were presenting new, faster, AI-powered accounting software, Will and I talked about something completely different: how we can use technology in a meaningful way to address existential challenges and create real value for humanity. As a tech entrepreneur, two topics are particularly important to me: - Decentralization and democratization of internet & data - Transparent communication and accessibility of emerging technologies for the general public Both are global and often ethically challenging topics, and that’s exactly why I’m looking forward to connecting and exchanging ideas with you on how we can use technology responsibly and purposefully. Hello everyone excited to be part of the community. I've seen first hand how effective implementation of profits and purpose can change the lives of many individuals, families and communities. I'm always interested in social enterprises and I am a firm believer that profits and purpose can go hand in hand. I have a lot of ideas around various different projects and initiatives but I am well aware there are many things I need help with or need to learn to make some of my ideas a reality. A little about myself, I've always had a knack for giving myself tasks or projects, blood donation days, be brave and shave, soccer tournaments for fundraisers. I've seen first hand in Iraq and Tanzania how purpose driven profits actually generate more profit and allow you to fulfil/ help/ assist more people. I look forward to hearing from others and their experiences.
