Psalm 21 King David writes about the joy in God's strength and salvation as well as divine blessings, protection, and triumph over enemies. David had to triumph over many physical and spiritual battles in his life, and we are no different; we also face battles every single day, and just like David, we have to trust God to get us through them. We cannot do anything in our own power, no matter how hard we try! 1. David says: 2. 🌿He shall have joy in God's strength - not his own 3. 🌿God gave him his heart's desire 4. 🌿He was met with the blessings of goodness 5. 🌿He was blessed forever "The king shall have joy in Your strength, O Lord; And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart's desire and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah For You meet him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold upon his head. He asked life from You, and You gave it to him—Length of days forever and ever. His glory is great in Your salvation; Honor and majesty You have placed upon him. For You have made him most blessed forever; You have made him exceedingly glad about Your presence. For the king trusts in the Lord, and through the mercy of the Most High, he shall not be moved." David praised and honored God in spite of everything, and God blessed him - we often forget that God is with us even in the moments we are weak, doubting, waiting, or maybe even hiding - He is there, He is your Father and wants to give you the desires of your heart, but your heart needs to be aligned to God's heart. Take time today to be quiet and reflect on the desires of your heart and how you will glorify God with them?
