So much of our stress comes from focusing on things we can't control
I saw this graphic on LinkedIn this morning, and it stopped me mid-scroll. How many of these things are a source of stress for you? 😰 What's happening around you 👥 What other people think of you 📊 How people are "rating" your work 🪞 How other people take care of themselves ⏪ Things that have already happened 😟 Things that might happen 👀 What other people are doing 🗣️ Other people's opinions Those are things that drain us, but our real power lives in what we CAN control. 🚧 Our boundaries 🧠 Our thoughts and actions 🎯 The goals we set ⚡ What we choose to give our energy to 💗 How we speak to ourselves 🏔️ How we handle challenges Mental health isn't just about managing hard moments - it's about where we choose to focus our attention, every day. When we redirect that energy inward, something shifts. The noise quiets, and we feel more grounded, more capable, more at peace. 🔁 I'll save this graphic to the classroom so you can download it and review it the next time you feel overwhelmed. 💬 What's one thing you're choosing to focus on today that's fully in your control? Drop it in the comments — let's hold each other accountable. 👇

Self-Care Week: January Edition
January can be a challenging month. The holidays are over. Motivation is supposed to be high, but energy is often low. The days are short, routines are shifting, and many of us are already judging ourselves on our progress toward the goals we just set. So, let's make this week "Self-Care Week!" If you can relate to the sentiments above, it may be time to focus on energy conservation, not full-speed-ahead self-improvement. Instead of "doing more," consider: - Protecting your energy - Creating stability - Reducing decision fatigue How? Give yourself permission and pick ONE non-negotiable daily anchor. That could be - Waking up at the same time every day - Eating the same breakfast - Taking the same 5-minute walk - Following the same waking-up or winding-down routine Keep it intentionally boring and easily repeatable. And let that one thing be "enough" for a successful day. Don't be hard on yourself. Give yourself an easy win to celebrate. What will be your easy win?
Goal Setting
It's January! This is the time of year that people set goals and try to develop new habits. What goals have you set for the new year, and how are you doing against them? Be sure to check out the "Setting Goals that Actually Work" course in the classroom to get some tips on how to stick to and reach your goals.
