Ingram?
Has anybody tested the output against Ingram’s size and measurement requirements yet….for example, the interiors and the cover sizes? This is key as Ingram is likely to be my point of entry.
Did anyone have problems with chapter labelling?
Hello everyone and @Andrey Bernhart @Roman Redl While working on my outline, I got this message from the PF assistant (I made just a few tweaks): < < As we discussed, I strongly recommend moving the Table of Contents, QRcode page etc. etc. into a "Front Matter" category (using labels like Preface or Introduction). Why? On Amazon’s "Look Inside" feature, the first 10% of your book is visible for free. Because your front matter is currently 3,400+ words across five "chapters," a potential buyer might spend their entire preview reading about the book without ever seeing a word of the core of your book. Re-labeling ensure "Chapter 1: blablablah" appears as early as possible in the preview to hook the reader. >> So, I tried relabelling once or twice, but I noticed it didn’t just move things around, it actually deleted some parts, so I stopped doing it. I noticed that the black labels of the chapters at first turned to light blue, and then at a certain point it all went back to black. After that, PF kept asking me the same question over and over, but I kept saying no. I’m a bit scared to change it because I don’t want anything to get erased or moved. ❓ So my questions are : 👉 Can the chapter labelling be done later on, once the book has been written? Is it the same thing? I guess yes but I’m not sure. 👉 Is this how Amazon really works? It shows 10% of your book, but only if the chapter are labelled in a certain way?
Translations
Happy weekend all. Has anyone used Publishflow for translations yet? I'm very keen to translate some of my UK English books (done in PF) into German but my knowledge of the language is only good enough to order a beer, find my way to the ferry port or ask someone if they prefer cheese or ham (Uk foreign language education is a little hit and miss!). So, my question, does the whole UI change into the german language when you are translating or can I still prompt in English and get German text in the editor? I've generated enough on PF to pretty much know my way around the UI so I could possibly wing it but I'm not sure if the German language on PF is for Germans writing in their native language or for dimwits like me wanting to translate a full book. thanks, Paul
Publishflow to Canva?
Just been listening to one of the Podcasts episodes (episode 2), and heard Andrey talking about exporting from publishflow into a Canva template? Would love to hear more about how you do this
