Flu season
I’m properly unwell today, so I’ve pulled the pin and I’m resting. Which is great timing as Pokémon just re-released their fire red and leaf green versions to the switch. So I am rugged up and resting 🤒
And honestly, this is a good reminder of something I bang on about all the time: progress isn’t built on perfect weeks... it’s built on Plan B!
Life happens. You get sick. Kids get sick. Sleep tanks. Work blows up. Such is life.... And it's only Tuesday!
What I am focusing on is not trying to “push through” and then crash. Instead opting to adjust early.
If you’re run down, Plan B might be:
Rest on purpose (recovery is still productive)
Gentle movement only if it feels good: a slow 5–10 min walk, light stretching, a few deep breaths
Keep it simple with food: fluids, warm easy meals (soup/oats), fruit if tolerated, easy proteins (eggs/yoghurt)
If nothing else is learned remember:
👉 Plan A is the goal. Plan B is what keeps you consistent in the face of adversity.
Be kind to yourself, listen to your body, and we’ll get back to it when we’re ready. 🤸‍♂️
What's your go to flu remedies?
