I have seen a few questions about RE licensing and around arbitrage and management. Please see view points below:
You don't need A licence for arbitrage, however I would highly recommend getting one for a few reasons: See below:
- With a licence, you can manage homes and get used to this industry before risking a lot of your own money. I would highly recommend this as margins are very small in certain areas unless you rent luxury homes
- Australia is strict on the short term rental laws, and in the next 12-24 months they will probably crack down on unprofessional hosts, like they are already across NSW, QLD and VIC.
