New eBay policy for auto parts sellers
eBay’s new shipping policy, started 15 July, requires offering free returns on parts & accessories over $10.00. I already offer free shipping in order to stay competitive but now free returns too could wipe out any profit on those items. I’m thinking of raising the price of all my auto parts by $2-$5 to compensate. Worried though it may affect my overall sales and I don’t get many returns as of now. Think that could be because buyers paid return shipping. I expect it to increase now. I even say in my description to send me your VIN to verify if it’s the right part for your vehicle, but few do so. Anyone else selling auto parts? If so, what are your thoughts on this?
