The Winter Solstice 2025

The Winter Solstice begins when the Sun moves into Capricorn on the 21st December.

As we close out the year and prepare for 2026 (a Fire Horse and a 1 year) we take stock of all that was done so we can move forward; and move forward we will in a dynamic 2026.

For the Solstice, the sky is pointing to a learning experience for us all. The majority of planets are on the opposite side of exalted Jupiter. There is a stellium in Capricorn. Wisdom and experience are the themes.

Solstice is a great time to plan for the next year. Capricorn loves to climb and build. regardless of your solstice ritual, whether its to write down those goals and burn them once a day until the 1st, or eat grapes, today is a powerful and supportive time to really embody what you want for 2026.

Its always a good idea to pair down your resolutions and work on a few rather than too many. As the Sun ingresses into Capricorn, its important to pay attention the house Capricorn resides in your chart and set goals that align with the energy of PERSEVERANCE.

Saturn rules Capricorn and will be debilitated in Aries in the new year which will challenge us to stay the course. Those with ADHD may do better with this energy but we will all learn in the school of hard knocks about what it means to stay the course.
