My name is Braden Crystal, and I recently returned from serving as a missionary in Lima, Peru. That experience changed me in ways I never could have imagined. It stretched my faith, tested my patience, strengthened my testimony, and taught me what it truly means to rely on the Savior.
I started Prepared to Serve because I remember how overwhelming it felt to prepare for my mission. There were moments of excitement, doubt, fear, and deep desire to be worthy of the calling. I wanted to create the kind of space I wish I had before I left—one that focuses on faith, emotional readiness, and becoming the kind of person the Lord can use.
My hope is to encourage and inspire future missionaries to walk into the field grounded in Christ, confident in their purpose, and prepared for both the joys and challenges ahead. You don’t have to be perfect to serve—but you do have to be willing.
I’m grateful you’re here, and I’m honored to walk this part of the journey with you.
