Mining Monday: Hash Highlight! 🔥
Hashrate has finally ripped back to a zettahash. Miners are hurting and Strategy's clock is ticking.
This week I break down exactly where we are:
Today we cover:
- ETF holders are sitting on ~25% unrealized losses with $1.8B in outflows last week alone.
- Most miners are hashing underwater right now. We retested all-time lows in mining revenue at $27/PH/day. The exception: S21 XP at 5.6¢/kWh is still printing BTC at ~$44K cost of production.
- 7.15% difficulty increase - squeezing margins again.
- Strategy has 9.8 months of USD cash coverage on preferred dividends. STRC is trading at $75 (should be $100). Market is playing chicken with Saylor.
The ROI looks terrible right now. That's usually the signal.
