Living in a condo stuffed...
Being surrounded by pool table parts makes me sad—there’s no room to set one up, and the nearest tables are just out of reach right now. But the surest way to make meaningful change is to step outside your comfort zone, analyze your reactions to new stimuli, and then make adjustments—either to correct or reinforce those reactions accordingly.
I'm building this community for everyone, but also to keep my own mind in motion—motions that have become almost thoughtless from the isolation of countless repeated outcomes. I’ve mixed in a ton of other mental clutter that only complicates the analysis of action and reaction.
I used to talk about using a Phillips-head screwdriver as a kind of butterfly effect metaphor. But honestly, if my future self had shown up and tried to sell me this idea, I probably wouldn’t have listened. I’m sure it was suggested at some point—but everyone wants to be the magician.
But the truth is: magic only seems like magic when it’s performed with a deep understanding of the repetitive effects of isolated, practiced knowledge. It’s about movement—not exploratory guesses at what might happen.
It was right in front of me, and I was blind to it for far longer than I’ve been ready to admit.
Take that as gospel. Dive into my personal research and development. Trade years of trial and error for a few simple moments of patient, honest, open attention—and go straight to development.
