Introduction
Hello, my name is Nick Meesterberends born in 1988, and I'm from the Netherlands and live here with my wife and 2 kids (3 and 4 months) My favorite card in my collection is my played dutch base Blastoise (my first pull from a base booster back in 1999), but also a huge fan of charmander cards (blaine's charmander for example) The reason I collect and invest is it has a nostalgic feeling to collect (pokemon)cards but also like the financial aspect of it (so in the end i can buy even more (high end) WOTC cards. I used to play the game as well back in the day.
Started in 1999 as a young teenager but when i went to highschool i switched to Magic the Gathering.
I stopped collecting and playing TCG when i went to college.
at around 2012 I got reconected with my friend who i played pokemon and mtg. First got back in Mtg and later (2014) we started our own TCG shop in Hengelo (besides my regular job) selling MTG and Pokemon.
We had to close shop in 2017 because he moved to Amsterdam and i couldn't combine the shop and my regular job.
We sold almost all our inventory, but i kept some pokemonboosters and some sealed mtg products.
In 2020 i switched from playing and investing in mtg to pokemon (think the corona hype got me too ;))
My (first)goal is to complete first edition (psa 9 or higher) gym challange and gym heroes set.
