Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the concept of minimum viable product (MVP).
While working through some practice problems, I encountered a tricky scenario: a project originally scheduled for 24 months must now be completed in just 6 months. In my attempt to solve this, I opted for techniques like crashing and fast tracking. However, the correct answer suggested that since the time constraint is a 75% reduction, the project manager should opt for a minimum viable product (MVP).
This raises a question: Is there a specific criterion for deciding when to pursue an MVP? If so, when should I consider implementing it? For instance, is there a threshold percentage for time reduction, such as 'if the time squeeze exceeds X%, then an MVP should be pursued'?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
