I'm Baz, and I started playing the drums when my fingers turned to stone due to arthritis. Two distal joints fused on the right hand and within the past 5 months, I had CMC (thumb joint) repair on both hands. Finally the last cast is off and, sadly, I sold my acoustic kit to a high school kid who is putting them to far better use that I'd been able to. This week, in anticipation of relearning to hold sticks, I bought a Remo RT-0010-00 10" Gray Tunable Practice Pad with Ambassador Coated Drumhead, a pair of 2B Vic Firths, and pending approval from my Occupational Therapist on Wednesday, I'll be hitting the sticks again and starting over with basic strokes and rudiments. Couldn't be more excited... OK, I'd be pretty stokes if an EFNOTE electronic kit was to suddenly show up at my front door. 😎

Always interesting how this can affect how a groove feels. Whatyall think?
