Happy Friday Purpose Family!
When was the last time you honestly took a moment to rest?
This week I have been overwhelmed with work, staying on task and preparing for other things. In this moment I realized I don't need another work session to get things done, I need a mental break. I am mentally exhausted and I need to rest. My body needs to rest. My fingers need to rest. My spirit needs to rest. And I'm going to do just that.
This weekend I will be taking time to regroup and rest. The good thing about that is my tasks are noted, my calendar is updated so when it's time to come back to things I can hop back in.
We often push ourselves to keep going but WHY? If we're not good nothing else we touch will be. We need to give our best selves to the things we are connected to and we can't do that tired and exhausted.
Take a few minutes today and organize your things so that you can move toward taking a break and taking a moment to rest. Your mind and body needs it and you will be grateful for it.
This is perfect timing as we head into our week of a 5 day challenge of taking care of our mental health and releasing things that are in the way. Get your journals ready.
I will be reading, playing with yarn, spending time with family and friends and I'm looking forward to it. I will create moments of rest and fun that I need.
