🎹 PIANO PROFESSOR WEEKLY Updates and News · July 24
Founders, this was a BIG week. Here is everything that just landed, built straight from your feedback: 🏠 PRIVATE STUDIO IS HERE Teaching private students? There is a whole new section for you. • Every student gets ONE personal code, forever. Hand it out once, and every assignment you ever give them just appears under it. No more juggling codes. • Your student types their code and sees "Hi Emma!" with their own practice list. Tap and play. 🎉 • You see their highest score and how many tries it took. A rough day can NEVER lower a grade you already saw. • Pause any assignment and bring it back later, exactly as it was. 🔒 LOCK YOUR PLAY SETTINGS (this one is fun) Try an assignment yourself, set it up exactly how you want it (sideways staff, note names hidden, slower tempo, you name it), then lock the settings you care about when you assign it. Your student plays it YOUR way. Or lock nothing and let them explore. Their choice is the default. ↩️ UNDO BUTTON Archived the wrong class? Deleted a piece? A little Undo pill now appears whenever you do something you might regret, and it can step back through your last 25 actions. Breathe easy. 😌 📦 ARCHIVE YOUR OLD SESSIONS Daily warm-up codes pile up fast. Now you can archive them: scores are kept forever, your list stays clean, and you can look through the archive and bring anything back whenever you want. ⚡ QUICK CLASS CODES, PROTECTED Throw a code on the board and the whole class can jump in with just a first name, no accounts. Codes now cap at 50 names so a shared code can never be flooded by strangers. 🎼 FOR EVERYONE PLAYING REAL MUSIC • Upload sheet music as .mxl, MusicXML, or MIDI, and it now reads sixteenth notes, dotted rhythms, flats, key signatures, and puts left-hand notes on the bass clef where they belong. • New Look Ahead view shows the NEXT measures under the ones you are playing, so page turns never surprise you. • Backwards practice: start with the last measure, master it, and grow the piece from the end forward. The pros' secret, built in.

Tomorrow First Unit Review Course
Hi! So tomorrow I will be going over how a first unit should work with students in any piano class. This will be designed for teachers who want to know what is the actual first thing that we should teach a new student or designed for piano learners to understand the piano better. I will be putting it through the lense of the Piano Professor App so it is easier for us to follow the flow of the psychology of those first lessons! What are some FUN first beginning pieces that you, your students, or children have loved?
Tomorrow First Unit Review Course
Hello!
Hi, I am a 58-year-old self learner from Italy. Four years ago I decided to purchase a real piano because that’s been my dream of a whole life. I’ve never taken lessons nor followed a structured plan, so now it’s high time to give some order to my learning. Looking forward to getting to know you all. Are you all teachers or are there self-learning members as well? Whatever, I wish you all a great journey in here.
Beta Is Live!
Hi! If you are reading this then we are in beta testing so as soon as you jump in don't worry there will be a slew of things to add here I just couldn't wait any longer and I had to go live! I will have tutorial videos and a full classroom curriculum you can get here and if you are in here you can go ahead and suggest things that you want for the app and Report bugs and tell me what you love! It's only going to get better from here and I can't wait for years and years of this to just grow from your input. I'll post a video soon!
