Some months ago I took part in a model shooting. Actually I was of support to my photographer friend.
The model was "a bit retouched" and after every shot was asking about the photo: How did she look. Being of support I chose not to take part in shooting, just helped with mostly with light and posing.
But I also took these 3 photos "secretly" meanwhile we were changing the scene.
I have always thought how does someone having facial surgery for no health reason, only esthetic, feel, when seen in a mirror. What are the deepest thoughts of themselves. How do they feel deeply? Are they fulfilled with themselves, because of it?
Anyhow this set of 3 photos I have titeled the construction of identity.
First photo: The identity is hidden/constructed.
Second photo: The identity is perceived by others.
Third photo: You face yourself in a mirror.
