Assignment #12: Echoes in Stone
This is my first assignment. I'm Indian and we have a lot of temples. So I took this photo at a temple, but instead of capturing the whole structure, I wanted to focus on a detail that most people usually pass by. The closer I got, the more the pillar started to look alive, more about texture, shape, and time than architecture itself.
What drew me in was the contrast between the rough carvings and the smooth circular forms above it. I liked how changing perspective made something familiar feel completely different.
