You Don't Need a Portfolio to Get Your First Booking
One of the biggest mistakes I see new photo booth owners make is waiting until they have the "perfect" portfolio before they start marketing.
The truth is...
Your first few events create the portfolio that books your next 50.
Here's how I'd start today:
✅ Offer one or two discounted events to friends, family, or local businesses.
✅ Capture everything:
  • Behind-the-scenes setup
  • Guest reactions
  • Photo strips
  • Videos
  • Your booth in action
✅ Ask every client for:
  • A Google review
  • Photos of the event
  • Permission to share their gallery
✅ Post consistently on social media. People don't need to see that you've done 500 events—they need to see that you create an amazing experience.
Every event should produce enough content for weeks of marketing.
Discussion Question:
What is your biggest challenge right now when it comes to getting your first (or next) booking?
