BLACK
Do you want to know what it feels like,
To live in,
The skin I was born in.
Well it’s like the color BLUE...
Just by your appearance or description,
Some people will prejudge you.
Who are they to make assumptions,
Not knowing whether or not they’re true.
But simply because they refuse to ask,
That’s exactly what they do.
I’m not so gloomy and depressing,
As you may THINK.
But cool, calm and collective,
Like a soft shade of PINK.
But as quick as a BLINK,
I’m angry INSTEAD.
Blowing smoke like a fire
As I turn blazing RED.
My heads not hung low,
But held high with ESTEEM.
And just because I’m proud to be me,
My enemies are enviously GREEN.
So leave my SCENE,
And retreat to the opposite end of God's color SCHEME.
For I have SEEN the YELLOW on your Back's.
So proceed with caution,
And RESPECT me,
BLACK!
