Cravings Don’t Last Forever
Something that helped me early in recovery was realizing that cravings come in waves. They can feel really intense in the moment, but they usually pass if you give yourself time.
One thing that helped me was stepping away from the situation, distracting myself, or reaching out to someone supportive. Even just waiting 10–15 minutes sometimes made a huge difference.
Cravings don’t mean you’re failing. They’re a normal part of recovery.
