I'm learning a lot about Skool, and over the past two months since I joined, it seems free groups are great for lead generation, but not so great in achieving results due to lurkers and 'free group island hoppers'.
Take this group, it started off on fire and I thought it was the best move i'd ever made in the first few weeks, but since then it's kinda died down, it seems that most people are coming in to lurk & many will leave in just a few days.
Do people really not have anything better to do than hop around free Skool groups all day? 🤔
Apparently not it seems! 😩
On the other hand, my paid mastermind launched early September is on fire and has stayed that way & we are seeing only about 2% churn so far with members taking serious action to get results.
I wonder if imposing a minor charge of around $9 per month for anyone who joins would push people to take action, as people who pay, tend to pay attention.
Good idea or not?
I tried gamifying it with prizes but this has not moved the needle like I hoped. I also thought about doing live calls a couple of time per month sharing my marketing strategies?
What else do you think this group needs for you to want to stick around to achieve success in your marketing?
Update: Due to some incredible feedback in here, I am no longer thinking of taking this group down and removed that from this post to avoid any confusion.
