When I was at my lowest several years ago, I felt everything I touched turned to mold. I had gone from consecutive high performer rankings to treading water at the opposite end. I didn't get on with my boss, hated the work, my relationship with my teammates and stakeholders was poor, my weight was higher than ever.
Everywhere I looked things were not good.
When I finally had the realization that I needed to start improving my situation and take complete ownership the whole prospect of doing so scared me.
Where do I start?? is it with my boss, my teammates, my health, my stakeholders, defining a career plan and more.
What I learnt quite quickly was that to fix everything over night was impossible.
I needed to take one step at a time but to ensure it was a focused step and looking at one problem at a time.
For me, at that time, I needed to work on redefining who I was and what my standards are. That way I could make better decisions that aligned with that.
For you it could be something else.
Don't try and do too much at once. Just choose one thing and make that your priority until you are ready to move onto something else.
