The Start Here course is up: 5 lessons, 20 minutes
If you are new, or you are helping someone who is, this is the shortest path through the first few weeks. Classroom tab, five lessons, about 20 minutes end to end. What just happened to you. Flare or attack, and how to tell. Eating in the first weeks. Enzymes, and the timing that makes them work. The head part, and where to go next. Free and open to every member. Nothing to unlock and no drip. Read them in order, or jump to the one you need tonight. If you are still in the phase where every twinge is a question, read the second one first. https://www.skool.com/pancreaszencom-2275/classroom/77614a0c

Free download: the Safe Foods Checklist
Every list I got in hospital told me what to avoid. None of them told me what to put in the basket on a Tuesday evening, tired, standing in front of the chilled section. So I made one, and it is yours. The Safe Foods Checklist. One page for the fridge, three bands: always safe, reintroduce with caution, and the ones that never come back. Proteins, veg, fruit, grains, dairy, drinks, spices, fat. Two files below. A4 if you are in Europe, US Letter if you are not. Print it, fold it, take it to the shop. Before you do, a few things. Fat grams are per portion, and a portion is smaller than you think. Read the label, then halve what you assumed. This is what worked for me and for the people I have talked to since. Your pancreas still gets a vote. If something in the green band hurts you, it is red for you, and that is the end of it. It is not medical advice. I am a patient, not a doctor. If you have a dietitian, take it to them and let them argue with it. Then tell me below what you would move between the bands. When enough of you say the same thing, I change the list.

Start here: what this group is for
I am Stepan. I have had acute necrotizing pancreatitis twice, May 2023 and November 2025. Both times I came home with a leaflet, a list of foods to avoid and no idea what to actually eat on a Tuesday night. This group is the thing I wanted then. What you will find here: food that works in real portions, tested by people on their own pancreas. Answers to the questions you feel stupid asking your doctor. People who know what the pain is and will not tell you it is probably gas. What you will not find: medical advice. I am a patient, not a doctor. Treatment also differs by country, and what my Czech hospital did is not what a US or UK hospital would do. You will also not find anyone selling you enzymes, supplements or a miracle diet. Two things to do now. First, say hello below and tell us where you are in this: just discharged, a few months in, years in, or caring for someone. Second, read the rules. They are five lines. Welcome. You are not the only one eating dry toast at 10 pm wondering whether it was the olive oil.

Free members: 10% off the book
Quick one for everyone on the free plan. You now get 10% off the book. Your code is in the Classroom, in the course "Your 10% member code". On the checkout page, click "Add promotion code" and paste it in. It works on the book and on the book + Kit. The meal plan add-on stays at full price. Why members only? Because you're the people I actually talk to here. Please keep the code inside the group. On Premium or VIP? Your codes are bigger (20% and 30%) and they're in your own courses. Got a question about the book before you buy? Ask it in the comments. I'll answer it straight, even if the answer is that it's probably not for you.

Mediterranean eating when oil is the problem
Everyone tells you to eat Mediterranean. Nobody mentions that the diet runs on olive oil, and oil is exactly the thing you are counting. Which parts of it you can actually borrow, and which you cannot. https://pancreaszen.com/tips/eating-mediterranean-on-a-fat-budget/
