ADS NOT WORKING
Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else is noticing this lately or has any idea what’s going on.
So I run ads mainly for my online coaching business, mostly top-of-funnel awareness stuff. I usually keep it simple and just boost one post at a time directly from Instagram. I like doing that because I can easily track which post actually brings in followers.
Here’s the situation:
I’ve been running the same type of boosted post for the last 3 months, same creative style, same audience setup, same budget, and it was working really well before. I used to average around $1 per follower consistently.
But recently, out of nowhere, performance has completely dropped.
  • The same ad that worked great before is now doing way worse
  • CPMs and costs are way up
  • I’m barely getting any new followers
  • Cost per follower jumped from around $1 to $5+
  • Even when I try running it from different ad accounts, it’s the same thing — slow results, barely any traction
Nothing in the setup has changed, same creative, same post, same targeting.
So I’m starting to wonder if this has something to do with the Andromeda update that everyone’s talking about. Maybe Meta is prioritizing “better” creatives or engagement-heavy content now instead of just simple value/talking videos.
Has anyone else noticed this kind of drop recently?
Is this just happening across the board, or do I need to change something about how I’m boosting/structuring my ads now under the new update?
Would really appreciate if anyone can confirm if this is a platform-wide shift or if I’m missing something here.
