= Will there be sun tomorrow?

GRAMMAR BREAKDOWN
1. "VAI" = WILL / GOING TO (Future Tense)
Vai is the present of ir (to go) used for future.
It's the most common way to express near future in Portuguese.
Vai estar = will be / is going to be
Vai chover = will rain / is going to rain
Vai fazer sol = will be sunny / is going to be sunny
Structure: VAI + INFINITIVE
Vai + estar = Vai estar
Vai + chover = Vai chover
Vai + fazer = Vai fazer
2. INFINITIVE AFTER VAI
The verb stays in infinitive form (base form).
No conjugation needed after vai!
Eu vou estar = I will be
Tu vais estar = You will be
Ele/ela vai estar = He/she will be
But when asking, you simplify:
Vai estar? = Will it be? (general question)
3. TIME EXPRESSIONS (FUTURE)
Amanhã = tomorrow
Próxima semana = next week
No fim de semana = at the weekend
Daqui a dois dias = in two days
Na próxima quinta = next Thursday
These help you plan beyond today!

A1: Está a chover? = Is it raining RIGHT NOW?
A2: Vai chover amanhã? = Will it rain TOMORROW?
A1 = present observation (survival)
