Updated Payment Methods - Important
We would like to inform you about an update in the payment step of the check-out and have prepared a step-by-step guide to explain the new update which you will find below.
This change means that when a Partner registers a new Customer or Partner via BackOffice, it is now possible to save card details for future recurring payments.
The same applies when a new Customer registers via MyAccount.
This functionality applies to all markets where the new payment solution is enabled*.
How it works:
  1. A new Customer or Partner is registered via BackOffice or MyAccount
  2. The user continues to the check-out to complete the order
  3. After clicking “Complete Purchase”, the user is taken to the payment page
  4. On the payment page, there is a checkbox asking if the card details can be saved
  5. If selected, the saved card can be used for future subscription payments
Important information:
  • When a Partner logs in as one of their Customers or Partners via BackOffice, they do not have access to the “Manage Payment Methods” page
  • The Partner cannot use saved cards or change the preferred card for subscriptions
  • This restriction remains in place to ensure the highest level of security for our users
*Markets where the new payment solution is currently enabled: USA, Canada, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Belgium, Netherlands, Malta and South Africa
This update will be gradually rolled out to additional markets when it is tested and approved. Please note that another email like this will not be sent when the update is launched in the remaining markets.
Step by step
Do you have a user with an unpaid recurring order?
Help the user to login to their account using their own ID and password.
NOTE that due to security reasons you will not be able to store and show stored payment options if logging in to one of your users accounts via your own BackOffice.
Inform the user to access their orders by clicking on the menu option “Orders”. Select the unpaid order and thereafter select a payment option (preferably credit card). Press “Pay for Order”.
Let the user add their credit card themselves to pay for the order.
As standard, card details will be saved for future recurring charges with the checkbox already selected.
Payment method is now saved for the coming recurring payments!
