The spirit of confusion
You probably don’t have some mysterious badge on your forehead that says, “confusion.” A lot of times, confusion shows up when your heart is running on feelings, fear, and your own thoughts instead of the Word. That’s the real trap. The enemy loves to make something feel huge, loud, and scary, then get you staring at it like it owns the room. What I’m seeing is this, you may not be dealing with a “spirit” in the spooky-movie sense. You may be dealing with a heart that’s been trained to trust its own noise. That’s why Scripture says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9. That verse is not playing games. Your feelings can sound urgent and still be lying to your face. And confusion gets worse when people talk about spiritual warfare like it’s a ghost story instead of a gospel issue. We’ve always been at war. Salvation just makes you more sensitive to it. That means the answer is not to panic, gear up, and chase every weird feeling. The answer is to get back under the Word and stop letting your thoughts sit in the driver’s seat. Confusion is loud when Jesus is being crowded out. So bring it back simple. Read the Word. Stop feeding the fear. Talk to the Lord honestly. -Pastor Johnny Chang
