Variation lifts vs. competition lifts

For example: - Pause squat - SSB (safety bar) squat - Larsen press - Deficit deadlift - Close-grip bench press On the other hand, Competition lifts are the exact movements performed in a powerlifting meet. Purpose of competition lifts: 1. Practice the exact technique used in a meet 2. Build specific strength for SBD 3. Prepare for competition commands and standards Make sure to not neglect both of these as they can beneficial for your powerlifting journey.
