I took this trade yesterday, and honestly, I think it had great potential. Once it reached 1R, I moved my stop to breakeven to protect the position.
At first, I thought it had stopped me out at breakeven and then continued to my target. But before logging it in my DRC, I checked the chart again and realized it actually kept dropping and hit my breakeven first, avoiding what would have eventually been a full stop loss.
Overall, this week I only had one losing trade on the Nasdaq—a small loss—and two breakeven trades on Gold and the S&P 500. I'm happy with the risk management. Sometimes protecting capital is the real win.
