Are you helping too much?
If your member is thirsty and you provide a fire hose you aren't helping them - you'll probably hurt them as you force them into falling backwards. And actively reject your help as too overwhelming.
Thirsty people need a sip first, maybe even a whole cup. Anything bigger is too much.
Help them have ONE QUICK WIN, nothing more. Then they'll know you truly understand how to help them.
What can you remove, strip back, tone down or edit out, to be more helpful by providing less?
