After years of practice, a Juilliard degree, and touring the world, I still found myself asking:
When will I be "good enough" to enjoy this? Can I ever be satisfied with how I sound?
I assumed the answer was more practice and deeper study.
Then I began to notice, the masters I was playing with think differently. Many didn't even "practice" like I did.
Great music comes from the heart and soul, not technique and intellect. As we learn to connect to love and joy, technical and mental blocks will dissolve effortlessly.
Rather than trying to GET better rhythm or BECOME more creative, you will discover that you ALREADY HAVE them, they just need to be unlocked.
I call this the heart-first approach, and I'm exploring it here.
Free community calls where we learn:
- Getting out of your head and into your soul as you play
- Trusting your rhythm and choices without second-guessing
- Being yourself even in a "scene"
If you've put in the work but still don't feel free when you step on stage, this might be the key.
