Every few years, trucking gets hit with a new technology that's supposedly going to change everything.

This time it's autonomous trucks.

Congress is considering legislation that would create national standards for self-driving commercial trucks while also funding retraining programs for workers affected by automation.

Some drivers think autonomous trucks are decades away from replacing people.

Others believe the industry is slowly moving in that direction whether we like it or not.
