context really matters

a member of this community, whom i had connected with 1-1, was courageous and kind enough to say that the gifs i included in the last post promoting the irl event seemed unrelated to this community as well as the event.

they said most people don't necessarily know who goose is and the type of humor surrounding his community, and if we had not connected personally, they would not attend my events.

i've already removed them, and as i share things in the future, i'll be more mindful of creating context for it.

feedback is the only way we can learn and grow—feeling grateful.
