Improving Privacy and Security in Notion: Seeking Solutions
I'm looking for ways to enhance privacy and security in Notion. I often face the challenge of managing databases where I need to grant access to different users, but the owner wants to ensure limited access to certain information. So far, I've been using formulas and locking pages, but I've noticed that anyone with access can use the /table command to view the entire database. Has anyone encountered this issue and found a reliable way to handle it? Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Historic records
Hello everyone! I want to ask a question that I’m getting tangled up with, and maybe someone has already faced this. I have a client who tracks their sales and generates historical files, for example, how many leads they had in June, how many joined a call, how many purchased, and so on for every month, so they can see the evolution of all this information in an easy view from Excel. In my case, with Notion charts, I can’t execute it because it only allows me to track a maximum of two metrics, for example: how many leads entered and how many called. The other idea I have is to create a metrics database so I can link ALL the databases to that one, make all the rollups whether it’s totals, people, lead sources, etc. But I’m worried about the monthly changes that need to be made—creating the new item in the metrics central, changing all the filters in all the views and databases, etc. Has anyone faced this situation or has a solution?

Capturing ideas on the fly
I recently caught Tim talking to his phone again to capture his ideas on the fly. This inspired me to share his method with you all. "Shortcuts" is an Apple app available on every iPhone that creates programs to organise inputs into your pre-set inbox. In essence, you can vocalise your ideas into your phone and have the text appear in your inbox. Simply set up a database in Notion and designate it as your inbox. The Shortcuts app then communicates with Notion. Tim's shortcut is designed to "Later, sort the inbox—meeting notes, clip anything, share anything from the phone—getting things done." This approach aligns with David Allen's time-tested methodology: place items in an inbox and sort them later. It's particularly helpful for those fleeting thoughts you're worried you might forget.
